A few years ago, there was an exhibit on the soviet space program at the Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama. The Center has a small page that discusses some of the items which remain on display there.
Lunokhod: The soviet lunar roverThe rover spent 3 years on the moon, powered by solar power and controlled by radio waves from the earth. Two significant capabilities were its video camara and the mechanism to take surface samples. Unable to send men to the moon, they sent the unmanned rover instead.
Despite the similarities between the Soviet and US Space Shuttles, The Soviet Shuttle had greater payload capacity due to a number of distinctions: the main engines were located on the booster rockets, a longer payload bay, and the booster engines had a greater thrust. The shuttle had the capability to manuever when landing.
